Job Duties

This position will support the H53E refurbishment project. The incumbent will serve as a avionics mechanic on the H53E platform.   

Location: Medford, OR

Perform inspection, repair, calibrate and test aircraft systems and subsystems in support of the H53E refurbishment program.


  • Perform disassembly, cleaning, inspection, repair, fabrication, maintenance, and assembly of aircraft and aircraft electrical/avionic parts, components and wiring. Documenting work per company, customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Inspect H53E in accordance with NAVAIR 1-1A-505 series and applicable ERFEDs.
  • Read and interpret schematics, prints, and wiring diagrams.
  • Work in a team environment and follow EAC Guiding Principles.
  • Troubleshoot and correct electrical/avionic discrepancies found during inspection, test and operations.
  • Perform administrative duties e.g. Time entry, DAX, Training classes, create, revise and use department documents, etc.) as required by EAC company and department requirements.
  • Order, receive and return parts in accordance with company policies
  • Perform housekeeping and other organizational requirements.
  • Perform Lean, Standard work and continuous process improvements.
  • Mentor, train, and coach new employees when qualified as a mentor or trainer.
  • Perform duties of an Inspector if task qualified.  Percentage of time required is different for different Inspectors based on the quantity of areas employee is task qualified to inspect and work load in department.


Job Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Valid Driver’s license
  • Use tools, equipment, manuals, drawings and specifications to perform aircraft electrical/avionic maintenance and manufacturing
  • 4-9 years experience in aircraft maintenance and manufacturing
  • Desired - Airframe and/or Power plant license, FCC license.
  • Military experience highly desired.
  • H53E experience highly desired.
  • Must have knowledge of NAVAIR 1-A-505, TM 1500-323-24 or TO 1-1A-14 wiring standards and practices.
  • Must be able to communicate verbally in an accurately and professionally way.  Written documents must be clear and concise
  • Responsible for the care of precision measuring equipment, tools and test equipment and benches.
  • Care of Proprietary data and its use.
  • Work 40 or more hours per week as directed (overtime, weekends, etc.)  Travel domestically and internationally as directed.  Drive company vehicles or rental vehicles as directed.  Work with hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals and products to perform required tasks.
