The Mechanic reports to the Maintenance Department Manager.
The work of a mechanic consists of any and all tasks generally recognized as, but not limited to, a mechanic's work on or about aircraft, its component parts and related equipment performed at line stations, major stations and shops. Mechanics may be required to inspect and test systems, component parts used and sign for the work performed. Must be capable of performing assigned work satisfactorily to company standards. Mechanics may be required to instruct less experienced employees.
The mechanic contributes to aircraft safety by maintaining high standards of aeronautical workmanship and inspection standards.
• Performs all maintenance and repairs on aircraft for which the mechanic is assigned and qualified. • Approves aircraft for return to service after scheduled or unscheduled maintenance for which he is authorized and qualified. • Keeps own work areas clean. Returns all equipment and tools checked out at end of work shift and repositioned in assigned area. • Reports all inoperative or faulty equipment to the maintenance supervisor in charge. • Completes all paperwork for maintenance that is performed. • Ensures that hangar workshops, and other areas assigned are maintained in an orderly manner. • May assist the Director of Maintenance in maintaining technical manuals in a current status. • Maintains an adequate tool kit. • Determines RII required AUTHORITY Mechanics may approve aircraft for return to service, assign personnel as required for maintenance duties and propose revisions to operations and maintenance manuals.
5- 10 years experience
Preferably with Lear and/or King Air experience.
Must hold a valid Airframe & Powerplant certificate
