Job Duties
- Perform structural maintenance, repairs, and modifications on customer aircraft in accordance with:
- FAA regulations
- Customer maintenance programs
- Approved technical data
- Company quality standards
Interpret and apply:
- Blueprints
- Structural Repair Manuals (SRM)
- Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC)
- Service Bulletins
- Engineering Orders
- Determine repair methods and feasibility for damaged structural components
- Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with FAA, customer, and company requirements
- Return aircraft to service using authorized documentation and logbooks
- Work closely with Production Supervisors and maintenance teams to meet operational goals
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to travel as needed to support off-site maintenance operations
- Ability to work at heights up to 80 feet
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work in tight or confined spaces while wearing respiratory equipment
- Ability to bend, crawl, twist, and maintain physically demanding positions for extended periods
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Clear field of vision and ability to manipulate hand tools precisely
Tools & Equipment
- Technicians must provide tools as outlined on the required tool list
- All calibrated tools used while working at client must be obtained through the Tool Crib
- Personal calibrated tools are not permitted on-site
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of structural repair experience on large transport aircraft
- Prior Airline and/or MRO experience required
- Structures technicians may also have aircraft manufacturing experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Working knowledge of aircraft construction and repair principles
- Working knowledge of computer-based aircraft maintenance software
- Basic understanding of FAA regulations related to FAR Part 145 repair station operations
- Ability to provide personal tools as outlined on the required tool list
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate of a technical training school preferred
- Minimum 4 years of sheet metal and structural repair experience in heavy maintenance, transport, or regional jet environments
- Previous experience on Boeing 737 Classic and Next Generation aircraft
- Previous FAR Part 145 repair station experience
Facility Description
Client in Wilmington, OH is a four hangar facility with 315,000 sq. ft. located at a CAT III classified airport. Located on site in Wilmington, is a 100,000 sq. ft. Component Repair/Overhaul facility that provides 12,000+ line item repair capability including composites, avionics, wheels, brakes, wire-harness, paint, and heat treat capabilities. This client's customers receive the support of a Manufacturing division that produces repair parts per FAR 121, replacement part manufacturing per OEM requirements and owner operator parts. Through Reverse Engineering, Client is able to manufacture parts with our Quick Turn Manufacturing to meet customer and maintenance requirements. Material Services is a 40,000 sq. ft. facility marketing parts domestically and internationally.
