Job Duties

  • Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies
  • Inspect parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
  • Interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical documentation
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM (preferred), and other inspection tools
  • Verify material certifications, traceability, and documentation accuracy
  • Document inspection results and maintain records in accordance with AS9100 and company quality systems
  • Identify and document non-conforming products (NCRs) and assist with root cause and corrective actions
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Support first article inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required (technical or manufacturing training preferred)
  • 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
  • Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace standards
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace manufacturing or machining environment
  • Knowledge of CMM operation and inspection software
  • Experience with First Article Inspection (AS9102)
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital inspection records
