Job Duties
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections of aerospace components and assemblies
- Inspect parts to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical documentation
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMM (preferred), and other inspection tools
- Verify material certifications, traceability, and documentation accuracy
- Document inspection results and maintain records in accordance with AS9100 and company quality systems
- Identify and document non-conforming products (NCRs) and assist with root cause and corrective actions
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve issues and improve processes
- Support first article inspections (FAI) per AS9102 requirements
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and regulatory standards
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required (technical or manufacturing training preferred)
- 5+ years of quality inspection experience in aerospace or manufacturing
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T
- Experience using precision measurement tools and inspection equipment
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems and aerospace standards
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace manufacturing or machining environment
- Knowledge of CMM operation and inspection software
- Experience with First Article Inspection (AS9102)
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and digital inspection records
