Job Duties
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date acceptance and rejection records and/or certifications systems as required by the applicable specifications.
- Determine acceptance or rejection after inspection and/or calibration of parts. Identify defective conditions and test failures and prepare all appropriate documentation and/or calibration history.
INSPECTION
- Perform inspection on detailed machined parts using a wide variety of measuring and test equipment to determine acceptability or rejections of parts and/or parts finish.
- Interpret specifications, charts and manuals.
- Use mathematics to convert blueprint dimensions and tolerances.
- Work within the guidelines of drawings, schematics, blueprints, route sheets, travelers, quality directives, technical engineering specifications, customer's requirements and military standards and/or calibrations procedures.
- Observe and perform audits of a moderate scope or complexity on assembly and test, machining and other functions for compliance to procedures.
Job Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Two years related inspection experience or demonstrated ability to perform described responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints, manufacturer's specifications and internal drawings and procedures.
- Ability to use and/or calibrate mechanical, hydraulic and electrical instruments/gages.
- Possess working knowledge of machine shop mathematics.
- Knowledge of applicable military standards may be required.
- Personal hand tools may be required.
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
