Facility Description

Angelo Precision Aircraft Dealer – Precision Aircraft Services
Founded in 1977 by Frank Hinds in San Angelo, TX, the company began as Precision Aircraft Services and has since evolved into one of West Texas’s premier aircraft maintenance providers.
Over the years, they became one of the first Authorized Robinson Helicopter Service Centers (since 1980), now holding FAA authorization for the R22, R44, and R66 models and maintaining a fleet of over 36 customer-owned helicopters.

Driven by a commitment to quality and growth, the business:

Rebranded to Angelo Precision Aircraft Services, LLC in 2013.

Has provided over 150 annual inspections annually, often offering rapid “100-hour inspections” to minimize aircraft downtime.

Operates an integrated system of checks and balances, enforcing strict adherence to maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.

In 2025, the company expanded its offerings by launching a full-service Avionics Department, becoming FAA-certified, and quickly securing dealership status with several avionics manufacturers.  Notably, as of August 18, 2025, they’ve become an official Garmin dealership, further expanding avionics capabilities for single-engine, twin-engine, turbine, and small corporate jet aircraft.
