Job Duties

We are currently seeking A&P mechanics in Duluth, MN to perform the following duties:

  • Repair, modify, replace or otherwise perform routine aircraft maintenance work in specialized area of aircraft.
  • Rigged Flight Controls, Remove and Replaced Flight Controls
  • Removed Replaced Landing Gear, engines
  • Worked on Hydraulics and Pneumatics
  • Experience with working on aileron, elevator, flaps and rudder surfaces

 Company offers training to all contractors which results in an 80 hour Gen Fam cert on Airbus A320 aircraft.  They currently have a 1 man training department, so the course is offered approximately 2  times a year.  Each contractor that goes to work here will be paid regular wages during this time and will receive the Gen Fam upon completion.

 

Job Qualifications

FAA A&P certificate is required. Must have 6 months of documented maintenance work within the past 24 months.

Tools Required: YES

Years' Experience Required: Prefer 6 months of experience, but also looking at new grads

License Requirements: A&P License

  • Own tools required
  • Must be willing to work overtime
  • Must be shift flexible
  • Must be able to read and comprehend English
  • High school diploma or general education degree GED required. 

NOTE: Must be available to work any schedule or any shift

Assessment Details:

“New hire employees that perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations are assigned a skill code upon being hired. The skill codes that will be tested are “A&P”, “INSP”, “LEAD”,  “Sheetmetal” and “R/E (Avionics)”. The results of the tests assist in determining proficiency level in the job category for which they were hired.

“If a score of at least 70% is not attained after the 2nd try, the matter will be referred to the Director of Maintenance (or designee) for disposition.”

Education

Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Five years’ heavy jet maintenance experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

  •  6 support shops
  • 188,000 square feet 
  • Accommodates up to 4 narrow-body aircraft
